In the house, above every doorway, was a pair of eyes. Big, bloodshot, and vainy. The eyes influenced people, making them scary and act different. My mother was the first to get infected. I took refuge in her room along with my brother and step dad, because her room was the only room that locked (in real life too). my brother and step dad didn’t seem worried or bothered. In fact, they didn’t seem to care at all. There were other people in the house too, people that i didn’t recognize, that also were infected. Mom came banging on the door. and i barricaded it with my body. The lock was a chain lock so it didn’t do much, the door still opened. My brother tried to help after he realizes that something was wrong. Eventually, she got in. It scared me but the rest of my family wasn’t afraid. it was as if they couldn’t see the eyes or see that something was wrong. Mom didn’t attack us like how the other people jn the house were trying to do. It was like she recognized us but still, there was something wrong. Then I woke up.
Dreams featuring eyes often symbolize perception, awareness, and observation. They represent how you view the world and how you believe the world views you. In your dream, the eyes are ominous—big, bloodshot, and looming over every doorway, indicating a sense of being watched or judged. These eyes could symbolize societal pressures or personal anxieties that you feel are influencing your life and the lives of those around you.
The fact that the eyes cause people to act differently signifies how external influences can change someone’s behavior. This could reflect concerns about conformity, the power of influences over your own or your family’s authentic selves, or the fear of losing your loved ones to such influences.
Your mother being the first to get "infected" suggests that you may have concerns about her being more susceptible to external pressures or that she is acting out of character in real life. Seeking refuge in her room—the only room that locks—could symbolize a desire for security and protection, especially with your closest family members: your brother and step-dad, who appear indifferent, possibly symbolizing their ability to remain unaffected by such pressures or a lack of understanding of the severity of the situation.
The presence of strangers in the house adds to the feeling of unfamiliarity and loss of control in your own environment. It signifies the invasion of unknown or unexpected influences in your personal space.
Your family's varied reactions could reflect your perception of their ability or inability to perceive threats the way you do. Your mother, although "infected," recognizes you, suggesting that despite changes or pressures, there is hope that the core connection remains intact.
In this dream, your emotions are very strong—fear, worry, and a protective instinct towards your family. These emotions might highlight real-life anxieties about your family dynamics, fears of losing your loved ones to external influences, or concerns about your role in protecting and maintaining those relationships.
Overall, this dream could be urging you to address your concerns openly, cultivate understanding and communication within your family, and reinforce the importance of staying true to oneself amidst external pressures.
